The project required maintaining operating room humidity conditions at 50% RH ±5% while ensuring stable temperature and humidity performance (64.5°F at 50% RH). Additional objectives included significantly reducing energy consumption to achieve operational savings and ensuring full compliance with operating room humidity standards.


The Solution

Replace Outdated Solid Desiccant Dehumidifier with one Liquid Desiccant system

Replace the existing dehumidifier with one Liquid Desiccant system. The dehumidifier fed an existing air handler that served two operating rooms, and replacement resulted in achieving humidity compliance while reducing operational costs.
